HOPE Walk is a stroke awareness initiative by the National Stroke Association of Malaysia (NASAM). It is an annual event that is held simultaneously in major towns across Malaysia in the month of October, to bring about an increasing public awareness on stroke. Participated by all our eight NASAM Centres across Malaysia, and in a spirit of togetherness, we celebrate and honour stroke survivors, caregivers and their families on World Stroke Day.
Aptly named HOPE Walk, NASAM is a strong advocate of HOPE to the community of stroke survivors that we are committed to serve. NASAM’s message of HOPE is this – that there is life after stroke. With proper and timely post-care stroke rehabilitation, stroke survivors are able to return to as normal a life as possible within the limits of their disability.
NASAM is targeting 2,000 participants in this nationwide awareness walk. Come and join our stroke survivors, caregivers, friends and supporters of NASAM by participating in this meaningful event – do register now!
This event is open to the public. We warmly welcome friends and supporters of NASAM, individuals, families and corporate organisations to participate and join our stroke survivors, their caregivers, families and friends in this walk. Your presence and show of support on the event day itself, will mean so much to them.
