Since its inception on 2009, WCSC has gained recognition and prominence amongst the built-environment industry professionals, Government agencies, city managers, academics, residents’ groups and stakeholders on the benefits and challenges faced in becoming a World Class City.

The 5th WCSC series themed ‘Liveable Cities are Creative & Competitive Cities’ aims to address, deliberate and come up with innovative solutions on developing and improving the quality of urban life through the provision of basic necessities and meeting the expectations of its citizens that may be compromised due to the ever-increasing population size and spatial area, as well as economic growth in the nation’s transformation towards achieving a high-income economy and developed World Class City status by the year 2020.
