Hosted by Penang Global Tourism, the Penang Fun Experiences with Despicable Me3 will take place at Padang Dataran Pemuda Merdeka, Butterworth, Penang from 22 June - 03 Sept 2017 on the following time slots : Mon-Fri: 12pm-10pm, Sat & Sun: 10am-10pm.

Minion fans can soon be enjoying their free time at a “pop-up” fun spot in Seberang Perai. The ever popular Despicable Me3 friends are making their way to Penang, building themselves a “pop-up playground” – the biggest outdoor Despicable Me3 event in Malaysia, held in conjunction with Hari Raya and Merdeka celebrations.

An exhibition to be held over a span of 10 weeks (June 22 – Sept 3 2017), where one enters a tunnel arch at the Penang Fun Experiences with Despicable Me3, and be taken into plenty of Despicable M3 themed photo opportunities, including a 32-feet giant on-ground Minion made from flowers and a 15-foot tall Minion character.

At a later date, there'll be a 4600 feet Despicable Me 3 Dome where visitors can enter for a tour of the Despicable Me3 gallery with lots of selfie and wefie opportunities, as well as a chance to purchase and bring home their favourite Me3 merchandises.

One of the highlights in the dome would be the Penang Corner, where they can capture the 'Minion moments' with Penang elements.

Your latest picnic spot! Be entertained at the Starlight Cinema and enjoy free screenings of Despicable Me1 and Despicable Me2 every Friday and Saturday. Bring along your packed-dinner and favourite snacks, together with a picnic mat and/or mini stools and you’ll be set for a relaxing evening under the stars.
