There will also be exciting activities in the areas of anime, comics, games and cosplay! In conjunction with the event, there will be the Malaysian VGC Open #2 and Midseason Showdown Spring.

Maximum participants: 100 (Masters Division), no limit for Juniors and Seniors
ENTRY FEE CONDITIONS
Entry fee: Rm40 (Pre-registered players)/Rm45 (On-site registration)
- Includes a tag for Priority Pass for entry into Day 1 and 2 of TAGCC
- Includes entry for both the Malaysian Open and Midseason Showdown (no discounts for those who just want to participate in 1 tournament)
- Players interested to pre-register may sign up and pay online to Comic Fiesta, or at 25C Arts & Hobbies Store or in any Video Game Premier Events in Kuala Lumpur/Selangor held prior to this tournament.

- Players who pre-register are to present the confirmation e-mail to the dedicated ticketing counter to collect their tags
- All registrations after 25th March is considered on-site and will be charged Rm45.
TOURNAMENT FORMAT

The Modified format is the standard tournament format for Pokémon Organized Play premier events. A Legal Pokémon team must be used for the Modified format of the 2017–2018 VG tournament.
Players will engage in a Double Battle with Flat Rules with a team consisting of 6 Pokémon which fit the below requirement:
- Only Pokémon Ultra Sun and Pokémon Ultra Moon Game cartridges or eShop downloadable versions are permitted for use.
- Pokémon used in the Modified Format must have a black clover symbol in the Pokémon Summary Screen. This indicates that the Pokémon was caught during regular gameplay, hatched from an Egg, obtained within the game, or was officially gifted in the Alola region.
- Players CANNOT use any Pokémon that are not caught in Pokémon Sun, Pokémon Moon, Pokémon Ultra Sun or Pokémon Ultra Moon

- Players may use moves and items that have been officially released via Pokémon Sun, Pokémon Moon, Pokémon Ultra Sun, Pokémon Ultra Moon Pokémon Global Link, or an official event or promotion.
- Players may use Pokémon with Hidden Abilities.
- Species Clause: No two Pokémon on a player's team can share the same Pokédex number.
- Item Clause: No two Pokémon on a player's team can hold the same held item.
- Players will be have their selected Battle Teams locked via QR code prior to the start of the tournament
- The following time limit must be adhered:
Your Time: Max 5 minutes
Selection Time: Each Trainer gets 90 seconds to select Pokémon.
Turn Time: Each Trainer gets 45 seconds to select an action each turn.

This tournament does not require an invitation or qualification. All players in good standing are welcome to participate.
Players must have a Pokémon Trainer Club account with a Player ID attached, and they must have opted in to the Play! Pokémon program in order to earn points and awards.
